The Odisha NEET 2024 Counselling will be overseen by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Board for the academic session 2024-25. Tentatively, the Odisha NEET Counselling 2024 is scheduled to take place starting from the fourth week of July 2024, around a month following the announcement of the NEET 2024 results.
The Odisha NEET 2024 counseling process will determine admissions to 85% of State Quota seats for MBBS and BDS courses provided by medical and dental colleges within the state. The counseling will consist of four rounds, with spot counseling included. Additional rounds will be arranged according to available vacancies.

Odisha NEET Counselling 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Below are the eligibility criteria for participating in the Odisha NEET UG counselling 2024, outlined for each specific parameter.
Nationality: The eligibility to apply for Odisha NEET 2024 counseling is limited to Indian citizens, OCIs, NRIs, and PIOs.
Qualification: Applicants should have successfully completed the Class 12 Board exam in the Science stream, with individual passing grades in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. They must also have attained a cumulative score of at least 50 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the Class 12 Science level for General Candidates (GE), 40 percent for SC/ST candidates, and 45 percent for benchmark disability candidates (PC-GE). Physically Challenged candidates in the SC/ST category need to achieve a minimum score of 40 percent.
Entrance Examination: To be eligible for the Odisha MBBS/BDS 2024 counseling, candidates need to have passed the NEET 2024 exam. Those who have not taken or passed the NEET 2024 exam will not be able to take part in the counseling procedure.
Domicile: The applicant needs to be a resident of Odisha. There are some exceptions to this rule:

Verification of the documents

State Merit List
Following the verification of documents, the OJEE Cell will publish a roster of qualified candidates for the counseling session. Only candidates who have completed the document verification process will be considered for inclusion in this roster. The state merit list will be determined by the candidates’ performance in NEET 2024.
Choice filling and locking
Candidates who have been listed in the state merit list for Odisha NEET 2024 counseling are eligible to move forward with the process of selecting and securing their choices. There is no restriction on the quantity of options a candidate can select in the form, therefore it is recommended that candidates provide as many choices as possible. Following the selection of choices, candidates must ensure to lock them to be considered for the seat allocation.
Seat allotment list
The OJEE Cell assigned seats to eligible candidates based on their choices and position in the state merit list. The seat allotment list for each round was published individually. Candidates who were allocated a seat and wanted to proceed with the respective institute were required to report to the institute by the specified deadline.
Institute Reporting
Candidates who have been assigned seats are required to personally appear at the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) office in Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar on the scheduled date and time. They must bring all original certificates, mark sheets, and necessary documents along with a duly completed bond for provisional admission. The Admission Fees, depending on the allocated College, can be paid online or via demand draft. Candidates have the option to Freeze or Float as per their preference. Upon submission of the original College Leaving Certificate / School Leaving Certificate, a Provisional Admission Letter will be issued.
Candidates who fail to report to the institutes will be deemed as no longer part of the system, and the seat allocated to them will be considered vacant for the subsequent round. These candidates will have the opportunity to take part in the next round by submitting new choices only.
Withdrawal/Resignation of Seats
If a candidate decides to resign after being admitted but before the specified withdrawal/resignation date, 90% of the admission fees paid will be refunded, with 10% retained as processing fees. It is important to note that no resignations will be accepted after this date. In the event that a candidate resigns after the deadline, resulting in the seat being forfeited, no refund will be issued, and the candidate will be subject to a financial penalty determined by the State Government.
