The UP NEET 2024 counseling sessions will be managed by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET). To take part in the seat allocation process in Uttar Pradesh, candidates must complete an online registration and submit their application form. The merit list for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in UP includes eligible candidates who will proceed to the counseling rounds. Applicants are required to indicate their college and course preferences for seat assignment. It is important to mention that UP NEET 2024 counseling will allocate 85% of the seats, while the remaining 15% under the All India Quota will be managed by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) through NEET 2024 counseling. Meeting the minimum cut-off score in NEET 2024 is a compulsory requirement for participation in the counseling process.
The UP NEET 2024 counseling will consist of three rounds, with the third round being an open or mop-up round. Any remaining seats after the initial round of DGME UP NEET UG 2024 counseling will be moved to the second round.
Admission to MBBS/BDS courses at medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh is solely based on the scores obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The state does not conduct any other entrance exams for this purpose. Seat allocation considers preferences, NEET scores, reservation criteria, and other relevant factors.
