The 2024 Karnataka NEET UG Counselling will take place online for admission to various MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Unani, Homeopathy, and Ayurveda courses in government and private medical colleges throughout Karnataka. Typically, the counseling consists of two rounds, with a mop-up round held if any seats are left unfilled. KEA oversees the Karnataka NEET 2024 counseling for 85% state quota and all private college seats. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will manage the Karnataka NEET counseling 2024 for 15% of All India Quota seats. This year’s Karnataka NEET UG Counselling aims to fill around 43,451 seats. In the MBBS program, there are 33,829 seats in medical colleges and 9,622 seats in dental colleges across the state.

- Candidates must be a citizen of India
- He/she must have qualified for NEET 2024
Eligibility for Government Seats:
- To be eligible, the individual needs to have completed their 10th and 12th grade education from a school in Karnataka. Additionally, they should have attended a government school in Karnataka for at least seven years.
- To be eligible, the candidate should have completed Class 11 and Class 12 at an educational institution situated in Karnataka. Additionally, at least one of the candidate’s parents must have pursued their education for a minimum of seven years at an educational institution in Karnataka.
- The candidate must have either Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava as their mother tongue, and one of their parents must be a resident of Karnataka state.

Karnataka NEET Counselling 2024 Process
The Karnataka NEET UG counseling for MBBS admissions in 2024 consists of four main stages: Registration, Choice filling, Seat allotment, and Reporting. KEA 2024 Registration Process
In order to take part in the Karnataka NEET 2024 counseling, candidates need to complete the registration process on the KEA’s official website. Here are the steps to follow:

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will soon publish the Round 1 seat matrix for Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2024. According to the updated schedule from KEA in Bangalore, eligible candidates will have the opportunity to modify their option entries. Verification of Documents
Verification of documents will be conducted based on the candidates’ rank order. Therefore, it is recommended that all candidates verify the rank range, as well as the date and time of verification before arriving at the center. Candidates are required to bring all original documents along with self-attested copies to the verification center.
Candidates need to register again and provide all required information at the verification center. Officials will verify all original documents and keep the self-attested copies. Successful candidates will receive an acknowledgment slip after completing the verification process.

KEA Secret Key and Choice Filling
In addition to receiving an acknowledgment slip, eligible candidates will also receive a confidential secret key. This secret key is essential for entering choices on the ‘Option-entry portal’. Candidates are urged to safeguard the secret key and ensure confidentiality at all times.
There is no restriction on the number of choices that can be entered during the Karnataka NEET counselling 2024. The options submitted by the deadline specified will be locked and used for seat allocation. It is important to remember that this process can only be done once. Participants who have submitted options in the initial round will not be able to submit new choices for the subsequent round. Nevertheless, adjustments to higher preference options are allowed.

Karnataka NEET UG Seat Allotment Result – Previous Year
The application process for Round-2 of KEA concluded on August 25, 2023, on the official website kea.kar.nic.in. Candidates who missed registering in Round-1 but paid for it, and those who did not finish document verification, are eligible to register in Round 2. The KEA NEET UG seat allotment result was published on September 5, 2023, after 8:00 PM by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Candidates could adjust their options (modify/delete/re-order) from August 30 to September 2, 2023.
KEA Round-1 Counselling Process
KEA announced the round-1 seat allotment outcome on August 17. A total of 7,605 candidates were assigned seats for MBBS and BDS courses. Additionally, KEA disclosed the cutoff ranks for Medical and Dental programs in the Karnataka NEET UG 2023 Round 1.
The KEA option entry and choice filling period ended on August 9, 2023. On August 7, 2023, KEA published the merit list for special categories.
